So rather than fighting them off, I just ran and had no problems avoiding them. The slums were all interconnected with bridges and filled with melee based enemies. One thing I noticed was the frame rate, I was getting worse performance than Crysis, with the high of 17 frames per second (low of 10). I was hoping it'd be more like the first part of the game. I was happy to be out of the corridors and back into the city. I felt as if the developers were doing this to try and extend the playtime but it was just getting frustrating. Even then the god mode (which is just a quick regeneration of health) was quickly getting knocked down from 200 health to 30 and having a difficult time regenerating. I had to enable god mode to get through this area. They'll throw mob after mob of machine gun wielding enemies that'll toast you within seconds.

The only way you can get ammo is by doing a kill move (when you're close enough to the enemy and press the use key, the character will grab the enemy and crush thier skull) and the game starts to play unfairly. This starts off alright, but soon you'll be mobbed by difficult enemies with no ammo and in tight areas. The designers could have did better enemy placing to have a better gameplay flow but overall it was enjoyable. You learn your main objective of the game: the scientist that built your weapon arm wants revenge on his boss, if you kill the boss, you gain your freedom. The city looks cool, weapon introductions are cool, you get a good feeling that this might be a cool game. I would say the best part of the game is here, level design, music, flow, etc.
